Batchfire Callide engaged Langtree Consulting to deliver the Overland Water Flow Management of Trap Gully to protect the future coal pits from the inundation of flood waters. As part of these works Langtree Consulting have designed an overland flow path (open drain), retention basins and culverts based on 2D flood modelling to ensure that the future pits have at least a 1 in 100-year immunity. Langtree Consulting also assisted Batchfire Callide with the Tender Process whilst investigating the option of replacing the overland flow path with a levee to reduce the cost of the project.
