Langtree Consulting project managed the Level 3 Condition Report and Load Rating Assessment with Repair & Upgrade Options by Wood Research and Development.  HSC engaged Wood Research and Development to undertake a Level 3 inspection on Kirks Bridge in early 2019. The inspection identified that the bridge did not meet the required load rating unless some rectification works were undertaken. As part of this works, three (3) potential repair options for rehabilitation were scoped and costed.  These Options will form part of the Options Analysis Phase of this project.

 

As a result of the above Level 3 Report, HSC undertook minor strengthening works to maintain the T44 loading of the bridge during the cane harvest season. Langtree Consulting project managed Cardno’s subsequent design and Keita Services construction of the required rectification works to enable the bridge to maintain a T44 load rating over the cane harvesting season.
